In the trainings we work with a combination of experiential learning and intellectual learning. Experiential learning is learning by doing and experiencing. Through energetic and challenging processes you see how you deal with certain things and how you can do it in a different way. Since you see and experience this, the results are sustainable and long-lasting. After all, experiences are easier to remember than what you read in a book. You also get simple, practical and effective tools, which will support you to implement what you learned and experienced. The experiences will be supported by intellectual learning, overviews and theories.
It’s an individual training in a group. This means that you will work on your own goals during the training. Everyone gets lessons and insights out of it that are important to him/her. At the same time you can also learn a lot from the questions, lessons and insights from others because they can be relevant to you.
Yes, at least twice a month an inspiration evening about the Essence training is taking place. It’s a fun and accessible way of getting to know more about the training. During the evening more in-depth information will be given about the Essence training, former participants will share their experiences and during the evening you will get a taste of experiental learning. Most evenings take place on our location in Amsterdam, but regularly there are also evenings outside of Amsterdam. For the latest information about the inspiration evening, click here .

All our trainings are given on our location in Amsterdam: Jarmuiden 26c. This is close to train station Amsterdam Sloterdijk.
Car: Plan your journey via Google Maps. There are enough free parking spaces next to our building.
Public transportation: Travel by train to station Amsterdam Sloterdijk and take the bus to Jarmuiden 26c. Via 9292ov.nl you can plan the exact route. It’s also possible to rent a bike at Amsterdam Sloterdijk (if you have an NS subscription), which takes you in 15 minutes to our location. Via Google Maps you can plan the route.
Bicycle: From the center of Amsterdam you’re here in 30 minutes.
Our location is close to station Amsterdam Sloterdijk, and there many hotels nearby. We have a list of hotels closeby. Call us or send us an e-mail for more information.
During the training
Our participants say the opposite: they say that by the end of the day and by the end of the training they’re alert and awake. How this works? Our training method keeps you active. For your wellbeing there are many breaks during the day.
Of course! You can bring your own food, so you can eat what you want during the breaks. We have cupboards, refrigerators and microwaves you can use. Coffee and tea is free. Shops and restaurants can be found within a 5 minutes driving distance.
This is not a problem. We’d like to know upfront, so we can remind you if you want us to. You can also mention it on the first day of the training.
Our training is not a replacement for a psychological treatment. It can complement each other. To not get in the way of your treatment, we ask you to ask for your psychologist’s permission. Different psychologists have taken our trainings, also as a complement to their expertise. If you want to, we can bring you in contact with each other.
Both evenings are part of the Essence training. Between the end of the training and the completion evening you get the opportunity to apply all the tools in your life. During the completion evening you get the chance to ask questions and you’ll get more tools. During the inspiration evening you can bring your friends and family to show them what you’ve learned and how Essence works.
Yes! As a student you get a 10% discount on the Essence training. For this we need a copy of your student card.
